Grand Rapids Landscape Photography

I was recently commissioned to do some landscape photography for a dermatology office here in Grand Rapids. The office just moved to a new location, and the doctors wanted a new look to go with the new venue. I had a complete blast taking these photos, and I'm thrilled to say that my clients were extremely happy with the results. They ended up ordering 16 of my photos in gallery wrapped canvases in sizes ranging from 18x24 through 30x40. They are also ordering a few more and one of them is going to be 40 x 90! That will definitely be the largest photo I've ever ordered! Scroll down to enjoy a small sampling of the photos that are now hanging in the most cheery dermatology office ever. :)

Sweet Little Ellie - 10 Days Old

Newborn shoots can be challenging, but they're also tons of fun. I think that being able to photograph a fragile, brand new baby is such a privilege. Every time I'm around a newborn, I'm just amazed at their tiny features...it's so incredible how God truly knits them together in their Mother's womb. It's nothing shy of a miracle!

Ellie is the beautiful daughter of Andrea. She was so expressive, and so much fun to photograph! Enjoy your sneak peek, Tim, Andrea and Noah!

Baby Hayden

In the past year, I've spent a lot of time looking at other photographer's blogs and I've always noticed that so many of them posted their entries at insane hours of the night. I swore that would never be me, because I value my sleep too much! I must admit...I am now beginning to understand how it happens. For instance, I took my first glance of the following newborn pictures around 11pm tonight, when I should have been going to bed, and I was oooh-ing and aaa-hing so much, I had to start editing right away and get some of these up!! How sweet is this little child? 7 days old...pleasant...beautiful...peaceful...loved. This is the sweet little boy from Lindsey...I did 2 blogs a while back about her with 5 month and 7 month belly photos. Enjoy a little peek at some of my favorites!

Sisterly Love

Here are two of my nieces, Sophia and Christina. I don't live near them, so I don't get to see them much, which is incredibly sad. BUT...when I do see them...you can bet I'm going to have my camera with me! Aren't they cute???? :) Love you girls!

Senior Shoot - Kendra

I was able to take these fun senior portraits of Kendra back in October...and I'm just now posting some of my favorites! Horrible, I know. BUT...I'm determined to be better about updating this blog, so I thought I'd just go back and highlight some of my shoots from last year that I never posted about.

Kendra is a beautiful girl with big talent and an even bigger heart. Not only is she an amazing guitar player (she was actually playing while these photos were taken)...after graduating in May, she is going to volunteer two years of her life in Mexico building houses for underprivileged families. God bless, Kendra, in your adventures ahead! *Oh...and on a side note...Kendra is the lucky Aunt of baby Benjamin from my last post!*

Benjamin - 6 days old

All I have to say is...what a cute baby! Benjamin may have been the littlest baby I've ever held in my life. He is so teeny tiny, and sweet, and adorable...I just wanted to take him home with me! He was awake and alert during the whole session, so it made for an interesting time...especially considering this was my first newborn shoot. Thanks, Andy & Kari, for allowing me to take these pictures of your beautiful son.

Monica's Belly

My husband, Tim and I recently had the pleasure of going to visit my brother, his wife (Monica), and their 2-year old daughter who live in San Antonio, Texas. Monica was 7/1/2 months along at the time of our visit, so it made for a perfect belly shoot opportunity!

Andrea's Belly

Meet Andrea. We've been great friends for almost 8 years now. It's hard to believe how quickly time flies! We have shared many wonderful times together including college, vacations, both of our engagements to our husbands, both of our weddings, pregnancy/baby excitement, and many other special occasions. It was such a privilege for me to be able to capture her beautiful, 7-month belly, and also get her adorable 2 year old in some shots, too. :)
